So my obsession with health continues, and although I’ve considered myself a health crazed individual for about 6 years now, due to recent events with my moms health, I’ve decided to really take it into full blown hypocondriac mode.
I’ve embarked on a journey – a long, depriving, and major test of self control, kind of journey, to rid my digestive track of the nasty candida yeast that succumbs us all. Can’t lose weight? Struggle with sleep? Tired all. day. long? You probably have it too – but stay tuned for a post regarding all things candida because this ain’t it.
For now, I wanted to share with you one of my favorite “anti-inflammatory” beverages of late – particularly because it’s yellow and it passes the test for candida-friendly consumption. It’s taking over the internet with it’s popularity at many health conscious establishments, and it goes by the name of Golden Milk – in layman’s terms, turmeric milk.
This frothy, yellow, delicious beverage not only looks dreamy, but it provides the body with a deflating punch we all need to prevent and fight disease. Do you have allergies? That’s considered inflammation, which is considered a disease – grab a glass, it’s time to save your life.
- 1 cup of unsweetened almond/coconut milk (your choice)
- 1 tsp organic ground turmeric
- 1 tsp fresh chopped ginger root
- 1/2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp organic coconut oil (candida fighting AF)
- 1 tsp organic maple syrup/honey/agave (your choice)
*sweeteners are not candida friendly so if you want to be bold and opt out, you’ll get used to the earthy taste eventually*
Warm the milk briefly on the stovetop, throw all that shit in a blender and blend – boom-shakalaka – gold AF.
Much like my other recipes, feel free to shake and bake as you’d like – add a splash of this and that, some more of whatever, and make it your own – bye.
